Lockdown Hobbies

Hii everyone..!
Though it seems like a must for everyone to have a hobby but what happens usually is that we become so engaged in our work and day-to-day chores that following our passions becomes a dream-that-never-comes-true. 
This pandemic however gave all of us a chance to utilize our time, bond with our near and dear ones on phone, pursue our long-forgotten hobbies and discover our true-selves. Though having a hobby that makes sure we stay indoors is an important requirement, nevertheless, the lockdown gave us the me-time we all once longed for. There are innumerable free courses available today to add to our advantage and infact, so many people have actually started monetizing from their skills. Following may be some of the many hobby ideas that can make you feel alive again.

Online courses 

If you already have a skill that you are passionate for, then may be its time to grow your learning graph. You can be a a professional and help others do the same. There are so many different courses to choose from like photography, digital marketing, animation, cooking, etc. You name it and the internet has it. And surprisingly,  a lot of them are simply free. 

Podcasts

Podcasting is a great hobby if you know how to read out aloud. Yes.. with a little investment in microphones and sound-proofing equipment you can start a podcast and start earning. You can audition for authors who require your skills to make audiobooks and earn the royalty share they have to offer. 

Vlogging and Blogging 

There may be innumerable websites, blogs and YouTube channels already on the internet but I must tell no one likes copied stuff that is just another cheap unprofessional replica of what you may have already seen or read before. If you have some amazing content to share, or just wish to reach out to people who you can help then go ahead and make that online presence and who knows you might even start earning exponentially from your vlog or blog.
 

Cooking and Baking

Cooking new recipes and baking cakes could be another great hobby to choose from. So, treat your taste-buds with some real homemade dishes. 

Reading Books 

If you don't read books, pick one that your friend recommends. Read novels or books of a completely different genre beyond your comfort zone and enjoy. 


Singing and Dancing

Don't be a bathroom singer anymore. Showcase your talent. Dancing is yet another great exercise that keeps you fit. Dance to your heart's content.

Yoga and exercise 

Yoga, meditation and exercise relaxes the body and the mind. And you can even Zoom call to challenge your friends to do those squats and push-ups that you are an expert in. 

Stitching

Another great hobby with little investment is stitching. There are a range of websites which offer fabrics and stitching accessories online to let you start stitching. Stitch shirts, dresses, masks or and start redesigning your wardrobe.

Drawing  and Sketching

All you need is some stationary items to pen your thoughts onto the paper. Be creative and enjoy. 

Teaching

Every budding talent needs a good Guru. And amazingly, teaching is not limited to only classrooms nowadays. You can create your own online course, a YouTube channel or even teach on online platforms to students nearby on Zoom, Teams or Meet. 

There are so many other amazing mind-blowing hobbies to choose from. Just make you do something that makes you feel alive. I personally started cooking and stitching and it always so much fun to try new things. Though some dishes turn out to be total disasters, but in the end, its all fun and some learning. So try something new and feel alive again. Byee..
